This pleasant'village'in the affluent borough of Richmond upon Thames is sandwiched between Twickenham and Teddington.
Strawberry Hill has not changed much since its beginnings when Horace Walpole, son of the first British Prime Minister Sir Robert Walpole, built his Gothic villa in 1747 which he christened Strawberry Hill after the piece of land he built it on, Strawberry Hill Shot.
