Detroit, Mich. -- The Detroit Red Wings had a major turnover in their roster in the weeks following the end of the NHL lockout. But, so far, it appears to have had a relatively minor effect.
So many names have changed, but the best words used to describe the team haven't: Quick, fast, high-powered, relentless.
Victorious.
In a 3-1 victory Friday at Joe Louis Arena, the Red Wings did what they've done for the past decade: Control the puck, apply constant pressure. That pressure, in the second period, resulted in two goals less than 2 minutes apart.
