Craig Jessop first sang with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir when he was 23. It left quite an impression.
"That was in 1973," the world-famous choir's director recalled. "Sitting right next to me was Ken Rogerson, who had sung in the choir's original radio broadcast in 1929. What a thrill."
For a member of the choir, being mindful of its storied history is nearly as important as singing on pitch. This, after all, is one of the most famous musical groups in the world, and has been for most of its 158 years.
