The director of the laboratory that initially reported finding the date-rape drug GHB in two college women said Monday his instruments mistook an unknown molecule for GHB, a first-time event that "blindsided us."
"We're going to institute the FBI procedure in our lab so we never have to go through this again," Dr. James Ruth, director of the Ruth Lab at the University of Colorado's School of Pharmacy, said Monday.
"It was just a terrifying experience."
