A major review of the role of tribunal members, part of a programme to modernise the justice system, was announced today by Department for Constitutional Affairs (DCA) Minister Baroness Ashton at the Council on Tribunals annual conference.

The review forms part of a radical shake-up of tribunals before the launch of the unified Tribunals Service in April 2006.
