Eugene's official bid for the 2008 U.S. Olympic Track & Field Trials probably overstated the situation, but it did disclose that the Hilton Eugene is considering an addition of at least 80 guest rooms.
"We're for right now in that process of studying the market to see if it makes sense," Hilton Eugene General Manager John Erickson said Thursday. "We'll be taking a proposal to our ownership. Probably in March at some point, we will have enough information to see if it makes sense."
