GALWAY FILM FLEADH

Celebrating its 17th anniversary, this year's Galway Film Fleadh was an energetic event held in two main venues in the bustling (and rapidly modernizing) medieval city on the west coast of Ireland. As usual, the Fleadh closely preceded the Galway Arts Festival--when the city nearly bursts at the seams with exhibitions, performances and theatre--and provides a lively start to the festival season.
