US Mobile phone company Sprint Nextel Corp has revealed plans to introduce a slim mobile phone from electronics company Samsung Electronics Co Ltd within the next few weeks.

The A900 phone is aimed at Sprint Nextel's fashion conscious customers and is expected to rival the Razr phone from Motorola Inc, helping the company to compete with operators Verizon Wireless and Cingular Wireless. Sprint Nextel said it feels the Samsung handset is preferable to the Razr and implied that it will not sell the Motorola handset.
