A pair of sisters have danced their way a few miles south, relocating their dance academy from Elgin to South Elgin.
For four years, Duet Dance Academy, owned by sisters Jenny Miquelon and Jill Heintz, was located on the lower level of Wesley United Methodist Church in Elgin. They moved their 250 students and six teachers south in October.
"We just felt the need for growth, more room and more studio space," said Miquelon, the more talkative of the two. She teaches hip hop, jazz, tap, modern and lyrical dancing.
