BUSINESS LAW: CENTRAL EXCISE NOT LEVIABLE ON TOTAL VALUE OF COMPUTER, SC
November 15 (PTI Economic Service): The Supreme Court in Commissioner of Central Excise, Appellant, versus M/s. ACER India Limited, Respondent, held that Central Excise Duty is not leviable on total value of computer including value of operational software.
