UP to develop 'Mahabharat circuit' as a tourist attraction
London, Nov 16 (PTI) The Uttar Pradesh government plans to develop a 'Mahabharat circuit' based on major events connected to the epic Mahabharat to attract both foreign and Indian tourists, the state tourism minister Kawkab Hameed has said.
"I have submitted a proposal to the central government which has agreed to grant Rs.8 crores to develop the sites connected with the circuit - Bagpath, Maripath, Panipath, Sonipath and Indraprasth," Hameed told reporters here last night.
