FOOD poisoning was last night ruled out as the cause of dozens of guests becoming violently ill after a charity dinner at a North Wales hotel.
Last night, Colin Morpeth, owner of Abergele's three-star Kinmel Manor Hotel, said he received a call from Conwy Council environmental bosses eliminating food poisoning.
He said: "You can imagine what it has been like here for the last day or so.
"We have had lots of calls from people who have booked functions here.
"Now we have been told whatever caused the sickness is not down to food poisoning."
On Tuesday, a spokesman at the hotel said they were 90% sure the problem was probably caused by an airborne virus ...
