Back in 1955, Dorcas Reilly combined a can of Campbell's Cream of Mushroom soup and green beans in a dish, topped it with some canned fried onion rings and baked it.

Reilly, manager of the Campbell's Kitchen at the time, set out "to create a quick-and- easy recipe around things most Americans always had on hand in the 1950s: green beans and cream of mushroom soup."

That simple casserole became an instant hit, finding its way onto holiday tables across America. In fact, the folks at Campbell's estimate more than 30 million American households will enjoy Green Bean Casserole as part of their holiday ...
