Nov. 18--In 1955, Taos Ski Valley Resort's official logo depicted an American Indian skiing down a slope with two long black braids and a red bandana around his head. He was holding two big red feathers for ski poles.
For its 50th anniversary this ski season, the resort has brought back the logo, upsetting at least one Native American who says the image damages local sensibilities.
