Peace activist and former Washington Post columnist Colman McCarthy will speak Saturday about peace at a conference at LeMoyne College.
"Unless we teach our children peace, someone else will teach them violence," said McCarthy, keynote speaker for the annual conference of the Central New York Peace Studies Consortium. "Having had more than 7,000 students in classes on nonviolence over the years, I know firsthand that students are hungry to learn about the history, philosophy and practitioners of nonviolence."
The conference starts at 9 a.m. in Grewen Auditorium. The public is welcome.
