MIDDLESBROUGH hotshot Ayegbeni Yakubu has warned boss Steve McClaren that one phone call could mean him missing up to six games in the New Year.
And the loss of his top scorer to Nigeria's African Nations Cup squad at such a crucial stage of the season would be a massive blow.
A call-up would mean the influential striker missing key games such as a possible Carling cup semi-final and Premiership matches against Wigan, Sunderland, Aston Villa and Chelsea.
