FDA's Dallas District sent a warning letter to Houston's BAYOU CITY FISH CO, INC. following an inspection on July 5-7 and 25, 2005. FDA. FDA found serious deviations from the seafood Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) regulation. Accordingly, the firm's pasteurized and fresh refrigerated crabmeat; farm-raised fresh and frozen shrimp; aquaculture fish; and seafood dips/salads were found to be adulterated, in that they have been prepared, packed; or held under insanitary conditions whereby they may have been rendered injurious to health.
