Scott Hardy, president of the San Diego Golf Course Superintendents Association, had 25 years in the Navy when he decided to retire and begin a new life. That was 1995, and he decided he would become a golf course superintendent in 5 years. In January 2000, American Golf hired Scott as golf course superintendent at Eastlake Country Club. His goal was realized, and his lifetime of leadership skills and experience has made him one of the best superintendents in San Diego.
