ABSTRACT

The First Street Stormwater Retention Basin (FSSRB) was designed to collect urban storm water runoff from a portion of the City of Pocatello, ID. Soil Total Extractable Hydrocarbon (TEH) concentrations in the FSSRB were significantly higher at 0-5 cm depths (average = 688.5 ppm; range from 142-1340 ppm) than at 5-10 cm depths (average = 415.3 ppm; range from 44-1340 ppm), and there were significant differences in TEH concentration at different locations within the basin.
