BEIJING, Nov 21 Asia Pulse - China's Baidu has signed agreements with 16 record companies on providing free online music download services, with about 100 singers and thousands of popular songs involved.
Domestic players like Taihe, Freeland and 21-East are among Baidu's newly found 16 partners. The seven multinational record companies that accused Baidu of infringing on copyright, including Warner, EMI, Universal and Sony, did not join.
