'Resolute' (Reg. no. CV-248, PI 639057), an early-maturing upright great northern common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.), was developed at the Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC) Research Centre, Lethbridge, AB, in collaboration with the AAFC Research Station, Morden, MB, and released in 2004. Resolute was tested in the narrow-row dry bean registration trials in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba for 4 yr and registered in 2004 (Registration no. 5793, Variety Registration Office, Plant Production Division, Plant Products Directorate, Canadian Food Inspection Agency [CFIA]).
