Even with her voice hoarse after four quarters worth of screaming and yelling, Crystal Lake South senior guard Ashley Mack could not downplay her enthusiasm.
The Gators defeated the Huntley Red Raiders 51-40 to take first place in the Harvard Girls Basketball Pre-Turkey Tournament Monday night. Mack exercised her vocal chords as well as a killer instinct in Monday night's showdown of two undefeated schools.
"I am pretty loud and obnoxious all around," said Mack, who scored 15 points to go along with 4 rebounds. "I try to bring that energy onto the court to get everyone going."
