NEW YORK -- In Pina Ferlisi's final collection for Gap, she guided the company back toward Gap's classics, such as denims and Ts, but with a slight nautical vibe. At Thursday's spring presentation, the firm showed a toned-down color palette of mostly khaki and navy. The basic white shirt appeared in several renditions, from dress shirt button-downs to boho pullovers. Gap also introduced left-weave denim, a technique in which the fabric is woven left to right on the loom, the opposite of the traditional way, allowing for a softer, worn-in feel.
