Introduction
Structured education is recommended for all people with diabetes; however, few interventions for children and adolescents with type 1 diabetes in the UK have been described. The present study was conducted as part of an ongoing project to develop a new programme for 11-16 year olds, suitable for implementation within the National Health Service.
