Nov. 23--This holiday season, it doesn't matter what's on the gift-buying list -- an Andrew Fezza suit, a cuddly puppy or a Liz Claiborne overcoat.
The price is the same: discounted.
As retailers brace for a holiday spending season that's expected to be less jolly than last year's, they're slashing prices and offering deep discounts earlier than in previous years, experts say.
That $250 Liz Claiborne coat at Macy's is selling for $124.50. Andrew Fezza suits at S&K Menswear are two for $199.99. And the puppy, depending on the breed, could be marked down as much as $400 at Pass Pets at Castleton Square Mall.
