What secrets lie in the dense jungles of the Amazon? For years reports of lost cities deep in the Amazon rain forest have intrigued archaeologists. But no evidence of such a civilization has been found--until now.
Guided by satellite images, researchers have made a major discovery in the jungle around the upper Xingu, a tributary of the Amazon River. They have found evidence of densely settled, well-organized systems of towns that no one knew existed.
