China confirms second death bird flu death, new bird flu outbreak in Xinjiang
Shanghai. November 25. INTERFAX-CHINA - China Wednesday reported the second human death due to bird flu, just 12 days after the first death.
Both cases occurred in eastern China's Anhui Province.
A 35-year-old female farmer in Xiuning County developed a fever on November 11, and died November 22. She had been exposed to dead poultry, China's Ministry of Health said.
The woman, surnamed Xu, tested positive for the H5N1 strain of the virus by the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention November 21, and the experts from the health ministry confirmed ...
