BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN, the new gay-cowboy movie, could hardly have more going for it. At the Venice Film Festival, where it had its world premiere a couple of months ago, it won the top prize, the Golden Lion--the first time this prestigious award has ever gone to a film about gay cowboys.
