Nov. 26--What's so special about the new Latitudes coffees at Batdorf & Bronson?
The company's marketing material compares them to Champagne or single-malt Scotch -- and the prices reflect that. The Panama Esmerelda Jaramillo Especial is $37.75 for 12 ounces; the El Salvador Siberia Pacamara and Ethiopia Yirgacheffe Kello Cooperative are $18.25 for the same amount.
Apparently, they are that good, for the sophisticated palate.
