BROWNSVILLE - The Central Linn School Board emerged from a three-hour executive session Wednesday night and voted 5-2 to place district Superintendent Max Harrell on paid administrative leave, pending an investigation of complaints against him by the school district's attorney, Steve Herron of Salem.
Board members Emil Harris and Pat Manning voted against the motion.
Harrell, who was absent from Wednesday's meeting - and from a regular, public session Monday night - could not be reached for comment late Wednesday.
