Town remembers actress
and her terrible death
Back in 1885, the good people of Berlin, near Albany, took up a collection to get a proper headstone for actress Mary Ann Wyatt, who had been killed by her husband 40 years before.
The Berliners again are remembering Wyatt.
The Berlin Bicentennial Committee, which is gearing up for the town's 200th birthday, hired Hoosick Falls Monumental Works to clean her headstone, the Albany Times Union reported.
Sharon Klein, town historian, is gathering information on Wyatt, who was slowly poisoned with arsenic by her two-timing husband, Henry G. Green. She died less than a week after the ...
