In the spirit of family helping family, the Navy Exchange Service Command (NEXCOM) went right to work once Hurricane Katrina passed over its facilities in Louisiana, Mississippi and Florida. Working with its vendor-partners, NEXCOM was able to get a number of services up and running in the days immediately following the storm.
"Thankfully, all Navy Exchange facilities weathered the storm with minimal damage," said RADM Robert E. Cowley III, Commander, NEXCOM.
