Give Logitech credit for taking some risks: It introduced its SoundMan 16 sound board into an already crowded market. Nevertheless, this excellent 16-bit stereo sound board should raise the price/performance expectations for PC sound boards. At a retail price of $289 (and a street price of about $200), it delivers superior stereo sound for only $50 more than many high-end 8-bit boards.
