Nov. 29--The North Port Contractor's Association is on its own. The group voted last week not to pursue a merger with the Sarasota Home Builders Association, and plans to merge with the newly renamed Charlotte-DeSoto Building Industry Association were abandoned because of what the North Port group called "jurisdiction restrictions" imposed by the National Association of Home Builders.
