The headline in the newspaper ads for "Good Night, And Good Luck blared: "Exclusive Engagement" at the Tivoli in University City.
Newsman Edward R. Murrow, a stickler for accuracy and the protagonist in this must-see movie, would have spiked that somewhat misleading headline.
The Tivoli did show it exclusively--for two weeks, Oct. 21 through Nov. 3. People who rushed to the Loop on Delmar could have waited for it to open elsewhere Nov. 4. It's common to place a movie in one theater before it "goes wide," so remember to take "exclusive engagement" with a grain or two of salt on your popcorn.
