Article: City roofing contractor is facing further burglary, larceny charges.

Nov. 30--A roofing contractor stole nearly $11,000 from four customers by not completing his work after accepting their down payments, Watertown police have charged.

Mark J. Brown, 36, who resided at 417 Franklin St. before his jailing Oct. 27, was charged Tuesday by city police with second-degree burglary and three counts of fourth-degree grand larceny. Those charges are added to two other grand larceny counts, and petit larceny, resisting arrest and bad-check charges filed in October and Nov. 3. He is a prisoner in the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building.
