Oregon made its bid to the Fiesta Bowl with an in-person visit this week, and will continue to lobby in the coming days, but consider this: The game might not even have an opening to offer the Ducks.
Then Oregon might be very happy to play in the Holiday Bowl, provided that berth isn't nabbed by UCLA with the Ducks falling to the Sun Bowl, for the third time in seven seasons.
`We would hope we could go to the best bowl available, and that's the Fiesta,' UO director of athletics Bill Moos said Wednesday. `If that doesn't happen, then we would hope we'd be invited to the Holiday Bowl. If that doesn't work out, ...
