SEOUL, Dec. 1 (Yonhap) -- South Korea's public health insurance premiums are likely to rise sharply in 2006 as the government is considering an increase of more than 5 percent, officials said Thursday.The government recently submitted a proposal to the Health Insurance Policy Review Committee to raise health insurance premiums by 6.84-4.5 percent next year, according to officials at the Welfare Ministry.The committee is slated to hold a meeting on Friday to make a final decision on the proposed increase in health insurance premiums, they said.The Federation of Korean Industries, a lobby group for the country's conglomerates, and labor and civic groups ...
