A few days removed from Thanksgiving, scores of holiday shoppers were in a buying mood Sunday - for Christmas trees.
While grabbing a noble or Douglas fir in late November may seem a bit early to some, for people such as Todd Walker, it's all they've ever known.
Walker, of Brownsville, grew up in Wisconsin. "Back there, if you don't buy them early (by Thanksgiving), they're gone," Walker said Sunday as he strapped a 7-foot, conical-shaped Douglas fir to the top of his van.
