The professional preparation of physical education teachers culminates with student teachers performing their teaching functions in the field. In this last stage of a student's undergraduate experience, critical thinking abilities are enhanced or developed through two major players in the student's teaching situations--the cooperating teacher and the university supervisor (Ocansey, Chepyator-Thomson, & Kutame, 1992).
