GIVEN INCREASED LIFE EXPECTANCY and the growing aging population, all social workers are likely to interact with older adults and their families, whether in child welfare agencies, schools, health care settings, mental health or substance abuse facilities, or other practice settings. Aging across the lifespan is inextricably intertwined with all that social workers do.
