The All-Terrain Vehicle Safety Institute, based in Irvine, Calif.; plans to provide several training and briefing sessions in North Carolina, following the signing of a landmark ATV safety bill by North Carolina Gov. Michael F. Easley on Aug. 18, 2005. Gov. Easley signed the ATV safety bill, SB 189, which was sponsored by Sen. William R. Purcell. This new law takes effect on Dec. 1, 2005.
