Sophia Veinoglou has a lot on her plate.
As a full-time nurse at Fairview Hospital in Great Barrington, wife and stepmom to two children, Veinoglou decided to add one more task: completing her bachelor's degree.
"It was just something I had to do," the 37-year-old said. "Now I realize there is so much out there in nursing that I didn't know before."
In October, Veinoglou was recognized by the University Continuing Education Association of New England as the region's outstanding continuing-education student.
