Friend of seniors will be greatly missed
This is written in tribute to Doug Johnson who passed away on Nov. 25. Doug will be greatly missed by his family and his many friends in the community. His talents and contributions touched a broad range of community activities.
In particular, the senior community has lost an advocate and a friend. Doug was instrumental in starting the Elgin Township Triad Association, bringing seniors and law enforcement together to create a more secure community for seniors. This led to dozens of presentations.
He also hosted a west-side location for Senior Services Associates at the township building. This has become a base for many ...
