Dec. 6--People move to Santa Fe for many reasons -- the weather, the culture, outdoor activities, the mountains and the lifestyle, to name a few.
What brought Dorothee Filbinger-Maier and Guenther Maier was the desire to leave Philadelphia and start a small business in Santa Fe, which they visited several times.
Once they made the move, there arose the opportunity to own a business called Charlotte that just happens to be a jewelry shop whose corporate parent, Ehinger Schwarz, is based in the Maiers' hometown of Ulm, Germany.
