Formaldehyde is an important chemical raw material. Its downstream products are extensively used in adhesive, coatings, resin plastic, explosive, dyestuff, pharmaceutical and pesticide sectors.
The rapid development of the construction, automobile, electronic and household electrical appliance sectors in recent years has led to a drastic demand increase of adhesives and resin plastics and therefore promoted a constant growth in the production and consumption of formaldehyde in China.
