Like just about every other Big Ten football team, the Gophers' postseason destination hinged on Ohio State's BCS fate. Turns out, after all the speculation and what-if scenarios the past two weeks, the selection process really didn't have any suspense at all.
With Ohio State securing an automatic at-large Bowl Championship Series bid to the Fiesta Bowl, the Gophers, as expected, landed in the Music City Bowl for the third time in four years. They will play Virginia (6-5) of the ACC on Dec. 30 in Nashville.
