Dec. 7--A new urgent-care center is being opened on Coffeen Street across from Jefferson Community College by two medical staffers formerly employed by North Country Urgent Care, 21017 Route 12F.
Mark A. Knowles, physician assistant, and Carol A. Lamon, registered nurse, are planning to open the center, called Mountain Medical Urgent Care, by Jan. 2.
The urgent-care center will be in leased space in the offices of accountant Jerry Gardner, 1213 Coffeen St. Mr. Gardner will keep his practice in the building.
