Gov. Mitt Romney appeared to collide with his own administration's position on emergency contraception yesterday, saying all hospitals should provide information or medication to rape victims fearful of becoming pregnant.
"My own view is that every hospital should provide to rape victims information about emergency contraception or emergency contraception itself," Romney said.
But even as Romney spoke, his Department of Public Health was finalizing rules to allow Catholic hospitals to evade a new law mandating that all hospitals offer emergency contraception to rape victims. The medication, Plan B, ...
