We have three new inductees into the Embroidery Hall of Fame for the year 2005. Two of the inductees are from the technical side of the industry, and the last is from the artistic side.
For years, Elias Howe's name has been relegated to the sidelines in the history of the sewing machine, but at last, he is being given his fair due and recognized as the machine's inventor. Another name familiar to many of us is Steve Turner. He is known as a driving force in the computerization of embroidery and will share the technological spotlight with Howe.
